OBDuCAN works with Windows 8, nevertheless, some particularity of this OS is responsible for a wrong COM ports remit to the bluetooth connected peripheral devices.

You can use this FAQ to connect the diagnosis interfaces with the OBDuCAN software, but also, by extension, to connect any other bluetooth peripheral device used with Windows 8 or 8.1.

Here is what you need to do to configure the COM port of a bluetooth peripheral device on W8:

Click on the Bluetooth icon and chose Open settings

Select the COM Ports tab: there you can notice the wrong COM ports assignment with W8. Indeed, Core Point OBD 'COM1' should be assigned to an outgoing COM port (which means that it is the PC that establishes the connection). Select each and every COM port and delete them... Then click on Add

Now, under this panel, you will need to create a new outgoing COM port for the peripheral device and the wanted service (ex: Point Core OBD - COM1)

Here is the right COM port configuration. Now OBDuCAN will be able to establish the bluetooth connection with the diagnosis interface!
